Benjamin Milakofsky
Executive Vice President, Chief of Staff & Business Strategies
Benjamin Milakofsky is Executive Vice President and Chief of Staff and Business Strategies at the 9/11 Memorial & Museum. He previously worked at the U.S. Department of the Interior, where he was the deputy chief of staff to the secretary and the chief of staff to the deputy secretary.
After working for the presidential transition team, Milakofsky spent three years working in the White House Office of Cabinet Affairs. Following that role, he joined the U.S. Department of the Interior where he served for the remainder of the Obama administration.
Milakofsky was the Department’s ex-officio representative to the United States Holocaust Memorial Council (board of trustees). He also served on the Board of the Jewish Federation of Greater Washington and on the Board of the 14th Street Y.
Currently, he serves on the Crisis to Stability Committee of UJA-Federation of New York.
He is a graduate of Columbia Business School and has a bachelor’s degree in marketing from the University of Maryland, College Park. Milakofsky lives on the Upper West Side with his wife, Ali, along with their son and two dogs.
