9/11 Memorial Museum to Host ASL Slam in February

The 9/11 Memorial Museum’s winter 2018 public programming season will kick off with a second edition of the ASL Slam on Friday, Feb. 9, 2018, at 7:30 p.m.

The program will explore the themes and stories of the 1993 World Trade Center Bombing and September 11, 2001, attacks through poetry, literature, songs and performance. This program will be offered in ASL only, without voice interpretation.

Founded more than a decade ago, ASL SLAM provides a space for ASL artists, poets and performers to share ASL in its artistic and literary formats. You can watch a clip from the first edition of ASL SLAM, presented in the 9/11 Memorial Museum Auditorium on Sept. 23, 2016, in the video below.

Horse Soldiers Visit the 9/11 Memorial & Museum
