Emmy Award–winning documentarian Deeyah Khan has long explored how people are drawn to extremist ideologies. She has spent years filming Islamist extremists, convicted terrorists, and former jihadis, as well as current and former neo-Nazis for her documentaries Jihad and White Right: Meeting the Enemy. Khan discusses what she has seen and learned, and how we can forge a path forward to combat extremism.
