With a 4 inch grinder, I grind in all the stars within a 1/16 of an inch below the blue glaze of the tiles. Making sure I stayed inside of the star lines I have to admit, this was time consuming and hair raising part of this project. I couldn't afford one false move because most of the stars share more then one tile. One mistake would have caused me precious time.
