This sculpture was inspired by the Stephen Ambrose book Band of Brothers. I wanted to create a sculpture based on the World War II 101st Airborne paratroopers. I decided to have this particular soldier hung up in a tree by his parachute. The solder is struggling to cut himself free. He has already cut his leg bag free which has fallen to the ground.
