I created this piece to serve as a memorial to the fallen firefighters of the 9/11 tragedies. I have hand written reach one of the names and positions of the 343 NYFD firefighters that died in the events of 9/11 alternating between red and blue. This is very near to my heart as I am a firefighter myself. I stood on my feet the entire time I wrote the names of the fallen because they died on their feet and out of respect I could not sit while I wrote their names. You can Also see that I have fabricated lifesized angel wings coming from the art piece's back. I have taken a out of commission SCBA mask and hang painted the American flag on it as well. I had a custom made leather helmet shield with the numbers 343 on it donated to me also.
