From my window, I’ve been watching.
I saw the Boston marathon and nine- eleven
Brave men jumped in without hesitation
I felt the prayers that blanketed the heavens.

From my window, I saw children dying.
Their families become broken in sad times.
Such violence shouldn’t keep happening.
For killing is not a solution of any kind.

There’s no tragedy on earth that I don’t ever see.
That includes burning buildings and disease.
Wish I could stop the madness down below.
I miss the peace I used to see from my window.

From my window, I’ve reached out.
Trying to heal, bring unity to every man.
But they all need to stand hand in hand.
Forget differences and know that’s my plan.

‘N I promised to bless those who love others.
Not just a relative, but strangers like their brother.

There’s no tragedy on earth that I don’t ever see.
That includes burning buildings and disease.
Wish I could stop the madness down below.
I miss the peace I used to see from my window.

A tribute to all we need to remember and a reminder that should include the one who watches us from the heavens. That he also sees and knows how hurts affects us.
