we are trapped up in these towers
there's nowhere we can go
the plane has blocked our exit
the death toll can not slow

there's an invisible killer in the air
smoke inhalation rises
some people can not handle it
leading them to their demises

I see a man pull out his phone
as he sits down in disgrace
he tells his wife and kids he loves them
tears stream down his face

imagine the lives that were lost
as the towers hit the ground
imagine losing a loved one
whose never to be found

there's more to this than just the twin towers
there's Pennsylvania and the pentagon too
no matter the circumstances we are in
