Created in April of 2000, 18 months before 911 and painted vertically, the image of a middle eastern man with a turban appears. Turned horizontally there emerges the twin towers with airplanes streaking through the upper floors. Behind the towers is an oval of blue sky with the sun at about where it would be 8:30-9:00 AM. Below the towers are dark twisted shapes illuminated by firey orange. The perimeter is defined by smudges of grey and black. Unplanned,the painting came to me almost unbidden as a troubling, dark inspiration. It was as if the "Prophet " had for told an event that was to happen 18 months in the future.
