This piece symbolizes the resolve that can and we hope will occur. We find peace through many positive situations in our lives. While we "NEVER FORGET" the tragic events and disappointments in our lives, we do our best to move on to focus on a positive future. Whether it is the commissioning of the USS New York in 2009, forming a support group for others with similar situations, or just befriending a stranger. This young boy with a silly smile on his face, hands held high in a V represents a positive future. As with the events of February 26, 1993 and September 11, 2001, we hope families, loved ones and friends of those who lost their lives find resolve.
