I had the extreme honor of being asked to paint 25 FDNY firefighters who died on 9/11 or because of 9/11. All of these extraordinary men were on the FDNY Bravest Football team. The painting is a celebration of their lives. The firefighters in this painting loved their job. Many of them were not on call on 9/11 but when they heard the call they came running with no thought of their personal safety. This wasn't just a job it was their life. The Heart, Bravery and Dedication to help others is to be admired. Studying each man as I painted them was very emotional. I was so inspired by all their stories. I have so much admiration for these firefighters who gave their lives that day.

I want this painting to help their families to know their loved ones will always be remembered and cherished and we will never forget the Heroes of 9/11.
